La Casita Cacao
La Casita Cacao is a one bedroom tiny house that invites you to curl up and relax. It has a full size bathroom, spacious kitchen and living area that can be used as a secondary bedroom. It is bright and airy with an abundance of light thanks to various large windows around the home.
Casita Cacao was designed to marry modern comfort and natural living. We searched for the best eco brands and products available in the market to make this possible. All kitchen appliances, air conditioner and fans are powered with solar panels. It relies on a Rheem tankless electric heater for on demand hot water, features the Nature Head composting toilet and it’s pipe system allows all its used water to be recycled and drained into the garden for zero waste.
Hello, we are Selin and Natalie Cacao. Just two city folks gone desert country!
A few years ago, we decided to leave the hustle and bustle of the city for a place much quieter that would allow us to raise our little family differently. We knew our five-acre property nestled in the high desert mountains of California was the perfect place to do just that. We have always been passionate about raising our own food, reducing waste and being self-sustainable. So naturally, we ventured into homesteading with ZERO prior experience!
In 2016, we opened our first Airbnb listing. Since then, we have loved sharing our home and homestead with many guest turned friends from all around the world! It is truly our priority to provide a comfortable, clean and mindful space for you. But most importantly we hope you will find rest and relaxation close to nature with a glimpse into a slow living pace. “Back to basics” has been our mantra and we hope to share that experience with you through a stay.
